Peter Schooling

Director

Peter started his career as an Account Executive at McCann Erickson working on the General Motors Holden & Isuzu accounts. After six years at McCann’s he joined The Campaign Palace as an Account Director followed by time with George Patterson Bates. He then spent six years at Wilson Everard as Client Services Director.

During that period he worked on a range of accounts including AAMI Insurance, Holden Parts & Service, Honda Power Equipment & Motorcycles, Melbourne Toyota Dealer Group, Nissan and Shell Oil Australia.

In 2002 he made the decision to start his own agency based on the belief that he could offer clients big agency experience and know how, coupled with the efficiency and personal service offering that only a small agency can deliver. It worked.

Since that time the agency has worked with a broad selection of clients in the specialised B2B sector, predominantly within the automotive and manufacturing categories. These include MAN/Western Star trucks, Patterson Cheney Commercial Division, CAT, DAF, MaxiTRANS/PARTS, Applied Machinery, Denso, Enmin and Australian Precision Technologies.

The agency celebrated its 20th anniversary in June 2022.

Bruce Stainsby

Creative Director

Following completion of a course in graphic design at Swinburne University of Technology and then several years working in the advertising industry, Bruce moved to the UK and worked for Michael Peters and Partners, one of the world’s leading design groups.

Whilst in the UK he went on to complete a Fellowship in graphic design at the Manchester Polytechnic in the UK. On returning to Australia he went back to his first love, advertising. He has since been Creative Director for some of Melbourne’s most prestigious multi-national agencies including Ogilvy & Mather, Dancer Fitzgerald Sample (later to become Saatchi and Saatchi) Young and Rubicam, Foote Cone & Belding, and more recently Cummins Nitro, where he undertook the specialised role of Brand Identity Director.

Bruce also ran his own agency for nine years with clients such as Jeep, Norwich Insurance and Valvoline. This was eventually purchased by Bozell Worldwide. He has also utilised his talents as a lecturer in advertising, in the undergraduate and post-graduate programs, at RMIT University Melbourne. Bruce is multi skilled - he is adept at developing marketing and business plans, as well as writing, art directing and designing.

He is an enthusiastic supporter of, and well versed in, the use and application of social media within a marketing plan. He has been responsible for, or worked on, many icons of Australian mainstream advertising including:

Chrysler/Jeep, CGU Insurance, Honda Motorcycles, Jarrah Coffee, Kmart, Mazda, Northern Territory Tourism, Rowntree, Toyota, Triumph Motorcycles.

Damien Wright

Website Developer / UX Designer

Damien Wright is our resident full-stack web developer. Self-taught, he has a genuine passion for creating websites that deliver style on the front end and rock-solid framework on the backend. His thoughtful approach to UI design leads to attractive, functional websites that prompt users to engage.

A portfolio spanning 15 years demonstrates his ability to deliver results-driven websites to businesses of any size and any industries. His extensive knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript/jQuery and PHP along with his experience developing websites on multiple CMS platforms makes him a complete package in web design and development.

Damien is also adept at developing the full suite of digital marketing components including animated banner ads, multi-page e-forms and e-DM’s via prominent digital marketing platforms such MailChimp and Klaviyo.

Matt Scully

Senior Art Director

Matt graduated from the University of Ballarat (Federation Uni) with a BA - Visual Arts: Graphic Design & Multimedia.

Since then he has gained 20 years of experience working within the creative industry in Australia and the UK – primarily in Graphic Design, but also in Art/Creative Direction, Digital Design, Photography, Videography and Editing.

His career has seen him work with a diverse range of clients such as Puma, Bosch, BMW, Freightliner, MAN Truck & Bus, Daimler Chrysler, ANZ, Fosters and Quicksilver.

Matt has the understanding and experience to produce a campaign from concept, through to production and delivery. His strength focuses on the combination of both marketing strategy and hands on content production.

Josh Schooling

Account/Social Media Coordinator

Josh graduated from Haileybury College in 2016 and is currently studying a Bachelor of Media and Communication (with a major in Advertising) at Swinburne University of Technology.

Josh joined BTB in mid-2017 at which time he was a General Administration Assistant. He has since progressed to become more heavily involved with the business and is now in the role of Account/Social Media Co-ordinator. His role includes copy writing of media releases/website news and other articles, website and database updates, liaison with clients and new business acquisition. He is also responsible for looking after both our clients’ various social media channels and those of BTB Advertising.

Josh has a keen interest in marketing, media, politics and history. He is also a proud supporter of Essendon Bombers in the AFL.

Pedro Azpurua

Digital Marketing Coordinator

Pedro recently finished the Bachelor of Business (majoring in Marketing and Finance) in late 2019 at Monash University. During his time studying at the institution he found special interest in the digital aspects of campaigning and communications; he currently continues his development in postgraduate studies. With an eye for detail and a modern way of thinking, he assists in optimising client’s digital and social media communications and undertakes market research projects.
